Data Recovery

Data loss from a computer's hard disk drive, or a piece of media, can be extremely damaging to a business entity and distressing for a home computer user.  We have partnered with a number of market leading companies who specialise in data recovery.

We have negotiated significant discounts with our partners in this area, and due to the volume of failed disk drives we deal with, can offer you a far more competitive rate than approaching them directly.

It is important to remember that data recovered from any form of damaged computer media can be corrupted and unusable in its native application (for example, a word document from Microsoft Word).  Our in-house experts can sculpture the data recovered by our specialist partners, allowing you to retrieve as much of the data as possible, and perhaps more importantly access it in the application it was created.

Computer Hard Drive Failure (Corporate/Large Business):

A hard drive failure in a corporate environment is a regular occurrence and in the world of disk arrays (a collection of fault tolerant disk drives) this is usually dealt with by internal I.T resources.  However, in certain situations external assistance is required, for example when a power spike destroys a legacy (not readily available) SCSI controller (a device that links the computers storage system to the computer itself), or when a number of disks are damaged at the same time (such as during transit or natural disasters) to name but two examples.

Our data recovery partners offer a world class service when you are faced with a disk failure that cannot be rectified internally.  Using the latest clean-room technology, our partners can recover data from both physically damaged or logically corrupted disks.

Response time in a failure condition is critical to the enterprise business, as whilst a server (a powerful computer that serves other computers) is offline, or company data is inaccessible, the ramifications can be catastrophic.  For this reason our partners offer round the clock services, ranging from a seven day guaranteed recovery (after an initial diagnosis assessment) to a same day service.

Computer Hard Drive Failure (Home User/Small Business):

For the sole trader or small business, the loss of access to information stored on a computer can range from an inconvenience to the loss of revenue.

For the home user however, the loss of files that are of sentimental value can be extremely distressing - digital camera photographs are often overlooked when it comes to backing up (keeping a second copy) important files stored on a computer in the home.

We offer a tailored service designed for the cost conscious home or small business user, sacrificing speed of recovery to keep the cost to a minimum.

Please contact us for more details of this service, recovery of a single hard disk drive can be carried out for as little as £450 + VAT.

Backup Tape Failure:

A backup tape is usually the first port of call with regard to disaster recovery.  Millions of companies 'backup' their data every night to tapes and store them securely, in the hope that they will still be accessible when disaster strikes, when a deleted file needs to be recovered, or when litigation requires its contents to be examined.

We have established a partnership with the countries leading tape recovery specialists, offering unrivalled repair, reconstruction and recovery of all data types from tapes that are no longer accessible in their native environment (the drive they were created with).

This service is primarily aimed at our business customers, however under certain circumstances we can attempt recovery for home users that are experiencing issues with a problematic tape that contains vital information.  This service also extends to Zip, Jaz and Rev disks that are often used in such environments.

Recovered data from tape can be presented to you in virtually any format you desire, however, our customers report the most flexibility when the data is placed on external USB or Fire-wire hard disk drives (storage devices).

Removable Media Corruption/Failure:
